Our Annual Meeting this year draws us together in Oklahoma City to connect, worship, pray, take care of Conference business, and join hands in the work that God has for us in Kansas, Oklahoma, and beyond.

This year’s theme, Better Together, is based on Ecclesiastes 4:12 - A three-ply cord doesn’t easily snap, and we will be celebrating and leaning into the power of our connection to one another, and the gifts, talents, and passions we bring together for the work that God is doing in us, and through us, as a conference.

We are grateful to Mayflower Congregational Church in Oklahoma City for their hospitality—providing the perfect setting for us to be better together.

Some things to know…

  • NEW for 2023: A big drop in registration rates!

At only $40 for delegates and guests, and $15 for youth, we hope to see a great turnout from every congregation! Members in Discernment are free and scholarships are available for all types of participants. Cost includes dinner Friday and lunch Saturday. Let's make this a record year of participation as we strengthen and renew relationships across the Conference!

  • Together at the Table

Opening worship will have a different feel at this Annual Meeting as we gather for "Dinner Church" on Friday evening! We'll share in a sacred meal, living out the story of our faith and celebrating the milestones of our churches and ministers. We offer heartfelt thanks to Phillips Theological Seminary for generously sponsoring this dinner!

  • New for 2023: Youth at Annual Meeting

We hope to see many Middle School and High School delegates and participants at this year's Annual Meeting! Activities will include a Friday night social get-together and a youth-focused workshop on Saturday, as well as specific opportunities for youth to participate in the full meeting. Local churches will be responsible for youth travel, lodging, and a dedicated chaperone (who can also be an Annual Meeting delegate). Keep an eye out for more details, coming soon!

  • Hotel Information

Annual Meeting participants must take care of making their own hotel reservations as needed. Since we are not meeting in a hotel, we hope all delegates and visitors will find a place to stay that best meets your needs.

Discount reservations can be obtained through September 15, 2023 at two hotels less than a quarter mile from Mayflower UCC. These are newly-built, adjacent, budget hotels: Tru by Hilton, and Home2 Suites. Rooms at Tru are smaller and efficient but with everything 1-2 people need to stay overnight. Rooms at Home2Suites are a bit more spacious and include a kitchenette, and can more easily accommodate a family or larger group. Home2 Suites has ADA-compliant, fully accessible rooms available. The hotels share an outdoor pool. A hospitality room hosted by the Conference will be open for BYOB late evening conversations at Home2 Suites on Friday Sept. 29. These hotels do not have a bar or restaurant, but a free hot breakfast is included.

Direct links for reservations are expected to be available within the next 3 business days, but at this time reservations can be made by calling your choice of Tru or Home2 Suites and booking with the code "KOC."

Additional hotels are located in the vicinity, including higher-budget hotels for those who wish to organize their own reservation; however, the Conference does not have a discounted rate. One recommendation is Embassy Suites by Hilton, a three-star hotel about one mile east of the church.
