I know how incredibly busy you are, so I begin by saying THANK YOU for taking the time out of your day to read this message!
As the Conference Development Specialist, I have been working to build an infrastructure to support the vital Christian practice of giving in the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference, and am now excited to announce partnership with the Conference Council’s newly formed Development Task Force. Our goal from here is to together continue designing and implementing a robust strategy to ensure the financial health and sustainability of KO’s vibrant ministries. We will open the door to explore and celebrate the stories that nurture and inspire the collective generosity and covenantal relationships within the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference. We can all be witnesses to the spirit of the Living God that is embodied among us through our generosity.
A large part of this plan includes providing resources, support, and educational opportunities to help you and your church plan your congregational fundraising paths. Be on the lookout for monthly communications, invitations, and materials!
National Fundraising Articles
A group of development professionals within the UCC has come together to create reflection articles to help guide and inspire fundraising and stewardship efforts at the church level. Each month in the Clergy Email, we will share the link to the newest reflections, which can be accessed at any time via the KO website. Please feel free to directly provide me with feedback on the value of these reflections, and never hesitate to reach out to me with reflection topic ideas.
Strengthen the Church
As the National Office has provided Strengthen the Church materials once again this year, KO will also be providing a Conference-tailored bulletin insert to help demonstrate some of the ways the Conference is able to give back to churches with the funds from this Special Offering. Be on the lookout for this, online Conference giving links, and more!
