Introducing David Ball - Registrar of the KO Conference
David Ball is a second-generation Korean American who grew up in the Oklahoma City metro area. He spent much of his youth attending evangelical Korean American churches. David first learned about the United Church of Christ when he began dating his husband, Jason Stephenson. His first time attending a UCC church was at Mayflower Congregational UCC for Ash Wednesday. After attending Mayflower Congregational UCC for a year, David became an official member on March 24, 2024.
Now he is honored to serve as the Registrar of the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference of the United Church of Christ. David practices his faith by volunteering for Meals on Wheels and delivers meals alongside his husband. He also volunteers for other organizations in the metro area by serving as the co-chair of education for Red Dirt Poetry and a leadership team member for OKC Story Slam, a local storytelling event. When not writing or working on homework for graduate school, David can be found working on a quilt or needlepoint project. He is also celebrating his recent nuptials and will soon be changing his last name to Stephenson.
