“We Don’t Have Any Children in Our Church: What Do We Do?”
The newly launched Antioch Center at Central Seminary is an initiative dedicated to strengthening congregational vitality by equipping lay leaders, pastors, and congregations for faithful, sustainable ministry in a changing world.
We are pleased to invite you to the Center’s first Congregational Learning Session on March 12, 2026. The session is offered on Zoom, and lay leaders, church members, and pastors are all welcome to be part of this inaugural event.
“We Don’t Have Any Children in Our Church: What Do We Do?”
March 12, 2026 | 7:00–8:30 p.m. (CST)
Led by Rev. Trevor Beauford, Organizing Manager for Faith Communities, Children’s Defense Fund (Washington, DC).
As part of our “What Do We Do?” learning series, we are pleased to welcome Rev. Trevor Beauford for a timely and thoughtful conversation on the theology of children. Many congregations are asking, “We don’t have children. What do we do?” This session invites leaders to begin not with strategy, but with reflection—examining what we believe about children, how those beliefs shape our congregational life, and what faithful next steps look like. Join us for a 90-minute online discussion designed to inspire clarity, discernment, and intentional action.
Rev. Beauford is Organizing Manager for Faith Communities at Children’s Defense Fund (CDF). With more than 20 years of church ministry centered on children, youth, and young adults, he has served as a youth pastor, senior pastor, college chaplain, and denominational leader. Trevor helps congregations ground their care for children and families in theological conviction and justice-centered practice. He is also the founder and spiritual leader of The Place, an intergenerational spiritual community committed to belonging and faithful public witness.
