Evangelische Landeskirche Delegation Visit

Bishop Heike Springhart, Rev. Dr. Jens Adam, who works closely with Bishop Springhart, and Rev. Dr. Lisa Wolfe of Oklahoma City University will be in Kansas and Oklahoma the last week of March for a visit to the KOUCC!

Their delegation comes by way of our longstanding partnership with the Evangelische Landeskirche in Baden, the Protestant Church in Baden, or EKIBA. Prof. Dr. Springhart became EKIBA’s Bischöfin in 2022, and our Conference Minister Rev. Dr. Lorraine Ceniceros was present for her installation, as was the UCC President, Rev. Karen Georgia Thompson. Dr. Wolfe, who has ordained ministerial standing in KO, has been serving as the Ecumenical Co-Worker with EKIBA since September, and will continue in that role through July.

During the delegation’s visit to KO, there will be several public opportunities to visit with our German Partner Visitors:

·      Sunday March 22 Adult Education Hour at Mayflower Congregational UCC OKC from 9:15-10:15. This event will include a video link to our partners in Germany.

·      Sunday March 22 Worship at Church of the Open Arms UCC in OKC at 11 a.m.

·      Sunday March 29 Palm Sunday Worship at Colonial Church UCC Prairie Village at 10:45 a.m.
