Introduction to the Three-Way Covenant for Ministers with Exempt Standing

Introduction to the Three-Way Covenant for Ministers with Exempt Standing

Authorized Ministers holding Exempt Standing are required to establish a specific Three-Way Covenant. This covenant defines the mutual responsibilities and expectations shared among the Conference, your Local Church, and you as an Authorized Minister with Except Standing. An example of this covenant is available here.

Beginning in 2026, Three- or Four-Way Covenants will become a standard requirement within the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference. Different versions of the covenant will correspond to various types of ministerial standing and ministry settings.

If you are currently pursuing or hold Exempt Standing or would like to complete this covenant now, please contact a member of COM-A.
